Web design · Privacy policy
Privacy policy.
What we collect when you ask about a website or become a client, why we need it, and who else handles it. The short version: only what the job needs, and nothing is sold.
What this covers
This policy covers the information Core Arc Studio LLC handles when you ask about our web design services, become a client, or pay us for a website. Our apps have their own privacy policies on their pages, and most of them collect nothing at all.
What we collect
- When you contact us: the name, email address, subject and message you enter in the contact form or send by email.
- When you become a client: your business name and contact details, and the content you send for your site (text, photos, logos). If you ask us to set up your domain, the access details you share for your domain or DNS provider.
- When you pay: Stripe collects your card or bank details. We see your name, email, billing address, the last four digits of the card or account, and your payment history, but never the full number.
- When you visit this website: like any website, our hosting provider receives technical details such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver pages and block abuse. We do not run advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry and send you a quote.
- To design, build, host and maintain your site.
- To bill you, send receipts and payment reminders, and keep the records that tax law requires.
- To keep this website and the contact form secure and free of spam.
What we never do
- We do not sell or rent your information.
- We do not use it for advertising, or share it with advertisers.
- We do not add you to a mailing list. We email you about your project and your account only.
Services that process it for us
A few companies handle information on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:
- Stripe processes payments and stores payment details (Stripe privacy policy).
- Cloudflare hosts this website and client sites, delivers the contact form, and runs the Turnstile check that keeps bots out of it (Cloudflare privacy policy).
- Our email provider stores the messages you send us and our replies.
Sites we host for clients
When we host a site for a client, the client decides what that site collects from its visitors, and the client’s own privacy policy applies to it. We only host the files and act on the client’s instructions.
If we build a form into a client’s site, submissions go to the client. We do not read them or keep copies beyond what delivering them requires.
Your browser
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If you dismiss the bar that offers a page in your language, your browser remembers that choice locally. It is never sent to us.
How long we keep it
- Inquiries that do not become projects: up to two years, then deleted.
- Client project files and content: while you are a client, and for up to one year after, so we can restore your site if you come back. Sooner if you ask.
- Invoices and payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will act on it within 30 days. We keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as invoices.
Security
Payment details stay with Stripe. Access details you share for your domain are used only for the setup you asked for, and you can change them once we are done. Our sites are static files with no database for anyone to break into.
Children
Our web design services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes and contact
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page and email current clients about anything significant. Questions: email [email protected], or see our terms of service.
