A little help
with your photos.
Release status and supported devices
Tintelier is being prepared for its first App Store release on iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. It is not available to download yet. The same app works on iPhone Duo’s outer and inner displays.
Choose a photograph and a tool
Choose a photo from your library, or open a sample from Colorize, Recolor, Looks or Restore. Each tool opens the editor with the relevant controls. Compare with the original and use Undo to step back. Only work on photographs you own or have permission to edit.
Recolor part of a photo
Open Recolor and use the manual Add and Remove brushes to define an area. Choose a color, then adjust lightness and strength. Keep the color and select another area to work on more than one part of a photo. Subject, tap and lasso selection are Pro features.
Colorization is an estimate
Colorization suggests plausible colors from a black-and-white photograph. It cannot recover original colors with certainty. Try another treatment, adjust warmth and strength, or correct an area manually.
Repair damage, then refine tone and detail
Restore has two steps. Mark small scratches or damaged areas and run Repair. Then use Improve tone & detail or its adjustment controls. Compare and undo each step separately. Results depend on the photo and the amount of missing detail.
Find or remove a local project
Your studio keeps the original photo, selections, editing choices and saved versions in the app’s local files. In Your studio, press and hold a project, then choose Delete project to remove it. Your device’s backup settings may include app data. Keep exported copies of photos you want to preserve.
Free exports and Pro features
Editing and previews are unlimited for Colorize, Restore, manual brush recoloring and the current looks. Free users can complete three JPEG exports per local calendar day, up to a 2048-pixel longest edge. Save to Photos, Share and Copy use the same allowance. Failed and canceled exports do not use it. Exports have no watermark.
Pro adds unlimited exports, subject/tap/lasso selection, full working-size exports up to an 8192-pixel longest edge, PNG and HEIC, and before-and-after images. Monthly, annual and lifetime options unlock the same Pro features. The app shows the current App Store prices.
If saving to Photos fails, check Tintelier’s permission to add photos in your device’s Settings app and make sure there is available storage. Share or Copy is another export option.
Restore a purchase or manage a subscription
After release, use Restore Purchases in Tintelier’s settings while signed in to the Apple Account that made the purchase. Purchasing and restoring may need an App Store connection. Manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account’s subscription settings. A lifetime purchase does not renew. Expired subscriptions leave existing projects and saved versions accessible.
Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Deleting the app does not cancel an Apple subscription. Use of Tintelier is covered by Apple’s Standard Terms of Use. Read the Tintelier terms page for app usage and purchase information.
Editing offline and sharing by choice
The editing tools run on your device. Tintelier has no account, photo uploads, analytics or advertising. Photos leave the app when you choose to save, copy or share them. Exports keep the image’s color profile and omit the source photo’s location and other EXIF metadata. App Store purchases and restoring Pro may require a connection.
