Why did an erase come out soft or smudged?
Mend is made for small distractions: a passerby in the distance, a sign, a wire, a spot. It fills the gap from what surrounds it, so it does best on plain backgrounds like sky, sand, water and road. Paint closely around the thing, keep strokes small, and zoom in for fine work. Something that fills a large part of the photo will not erase well, and Mend warns you before you try.
Where are my photos saved?
Nowhere, until you say so. Mend keeps no library of its own. Tap the share button to save the result to Photos, share it or copy it. Your original photo is never changed.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. Everything happens on your device, so Mend works offline and your photos never leave it.
What is free and what is Pro?
Erasing is free and unlimited, with no watermark. Free saves are 3 a day, as JPEG, up to 2048 pixels on the longest side. Mend Pro removes the daily limit, exports at full size in JPEG, HEIC or PNG, and adds the lasso, the select tool, Try Again and before and after pictures. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Settings with the gear icon in the top corner of the app, then tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought Pro with.
