1. Overview

Train Mode ("the App") is built from the ground up with privacy and on-device processing in mind. The core feature of the App is blocking distracting apps to help you focus, which uses Apple's native Screen Time and FamilyControls APIs. Your data stays entirely on your device.

2. Screen Time and App Blocking

To function correctly, Train Mode requests authorization to use Apple's FamilyControls. When you select apps or categories (like Social Media or Games) to block during a "train ride":

• The selections are securely managed by iOS.
• We do not have access to the names of the apps you select, nor do we know which apps you have installed.
• We do not track your app usage, browsing history, or any other activity outside of the App.
• The shielding happens entirely locally, and no usage data is ever transmitted to our servers or any third party.

3. Local Data Storage

Your session history (cities visited, duration of rides, streaks) is stored locally on your device using UserDefaults or SwiftData. We do not sync this data to any external server. If you delete the app, your local session history is also deleted.

4. Analytics and Tracking

We do not use third-party analytics trackers, crash reporting tools that collect personal data, or advertising frameworks. The app is completely free of tracking.
