Section 01

Which versions this policy covers

This policy applies to Annotate Audio version 1.3 for iPhone and iPad, provided by Core Arc Studio LLC. If you use an earlier version with account or cloud features, or have data saved through one, see earlier releases below.

Section 02

Recordings and transcripts

Annotate Audio 1.3 transcribes and cleans up audio on your iPhone or iPad. The app does not upload your recordings or transcripts to Core Arc Studio or to a transcription service. Recording uses the microphone when you choose Record. Import gives the app access to the audio files you select.

Section 03

Local library and backups

Recordings, transcripts, timestamps, and cleaned copies are stored in the app’s local library. The app also stores your settings and monthly free transcription usage on your device. You can remove a memo with Delete recording. Your device’s backup settings may include app data. Audio and text leave the app if you choose to export or share them, and any recipient’s privacy practices apply.

Section 04

Model downloads and offline use

Some transcription models and the noise reduction tool need an internet connection to download their files. The app or operating system contacts the download provider to fetch these files. The provider can receive standard connection information, such as an IP address. Your audio and transcripts are not part of these download requests. Once the tools are prepared, they process audio offline.

Section 05

App Store purchases

Apple handles payments. Annotate Audio uses Apple’s purchase system to check Pro access and restore purchases. Buying, managing, or restoring Pro may require an internet connection. We do not receive your payment card details through the app. Apple handles App Store transactions under Apple’s privacy policy.

Section 06

App accounts, analytics, and tracking

Annotate Audio 1.3 does not require an app account, display ads, or track you across other apps and websites. The app does not include Core Arc Studio usage analytics.

Section 07

Support and this website

If you contact us by email or use the website form, we receive the information you choose to send and use it to respond. The form asks for your name, email address, subject, and message. The website is hosted by Cloudflare and the form uses Turnstile to limit spam. These services can process technical information about website requests. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Section 08

Earlier releases with accounts and cloud features

Earlier releases used email addresses and one-time passcodes for sign-in. If you used cloud transcription, those releases sent uploaded audio and saved the resulting transcripts and related outputs so you could access them in the app. The service used cloud providers such as AWS in the United States. It could also keep limited device and service logs for security and reliability. This information was not sold or used for advertising.

The earlier policy provided for keeping account information and cloud content until deletion. Deleting a file or an account removes the associated information from active systems. Backup copies can remain for a limited period. If you need help accessing or deleting earlier account data, contact [email protected].

Section 09

Updates and privacy questions

We will update this page and its date if the app’s handling of data changes. Contact [email protected] with questions about this policy or information you sent to support.
